GS Harness

Neck Workout

There are a considerable number of muscles involved with the movement of the head and neck, from superficial level to down to deep.  Some have just a single function but many, to achieve the fine movements that are involved in movement of the head and neck, have combined function to allow complex actions.  The muscles are arranged in symmetrical pairings but can be activated individually to provide asymmetrical movements.

The muscles can be divided into 4 main functional groups:

  1. Extensors

  2. Flexors

  3. Side Flexors

  4. Rotators

This guide will demonstrate how to exercise each functional group of the neck using the GS Harness.

Rotation can be achieved in extension, flexion and side flexion (see videos).
